My name is Jackie and I am a 21-year-old college student in Salt Lake City, Utah. I started Freedom Concealed on Instagram in January of 2018, a couple months after getting my Utah provisional concealed carry permit. The provisional permit allows individuals between the ages of 18 and 20 to legally carry. As someone who was new to firearms and concealed carry, I wanted to share my unique journey through navigating carrying as a female college student. I am lucky to attend a university that allows students to carry on campus. I am passionate about promoting campus carry, and one of my goals is to encourage other young women to carry the tools to defend themselves.
